Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Qelzoro app and the qelzoro.com website. By creating an account or using Qelzoro, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Qelzoro.

Qelzoro never moves money

Qelzoro is a bookkeeping tool. It does not hold, send, or receive money, process payments, or charge fees. “Settle up” only records that people have already paid each other some other way.

1. What Qelzoro is

Qelzoro is a free app that helps you record shared expenses, see who owes whom, and record when balances have been settled. Qelzoro is not a bank, payment service, money transmitter, lender, or financial, tax, or legal adviser. Balances are calculated from the information you and other group members enter, so please check them before you pay anyone. Any payment you make is between you and the other person and happens outside Qelzoro.

Qelzoro is provided by Harish Naidu Gaddam, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us.

2. Your account

3. Your content

You own the content you add to Qelzoro, such as expenses, comments, and group names. You give us permission to store, copy, process, and display that content only as needed to operate Qelzoro for you and the members of your groups.

Content you add to a shared group is visible to everyone in that group. To keep balances accurate for the other members, it stays in the group’s history if you leave the group or delete your account, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Only add information about other people that you are comfortable sharing with the group, and be respectful in comments.

4. Groups and roles

Each shared group has an owner, who manages the group’s name, settings, invitations, and membership and can delete the group. Editors can add, change, and settle expenses. Viewers can see the group’s history and balances. People join a group only by accepting an invitation. Group owners are responsible for who they invite.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not:

We have zero tolerance for objectionable or abusive content and abusive users. You can report a comment, an expense, or a person from inside the app, and block anyone you share a group with. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and suspend or close the accounts of people who post it.

6. Changes to Qelzoro

Qelzoro is free. We may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or stop the service. If we ever offer paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you choose to pay. If we stop the service entirely, we will try to give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people or the service at risk, or where the law requires us to. Where appropriate, we will tell you why. Sections 3, 9, 10, and 11 continue to apply after your account ends.

8. Apple and other services

You download Qelzoro from Apple’s App Store, and your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. These terms are between you and Qelzoro, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for handling any claims relating to it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection claims, or intellectual-property claims. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Qelzoro accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that balances will be correct when they depend on information entered by people. Nothing in Qelzoro is financial, tax, or legal advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Qelzoro will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Qelzoro, including any payment you make or do not make based on a balance shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Qelzoro is limited to US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Your rights under local law

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer-protection or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Qelzoro after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the place you live requires otherwise.
